Those following PointsBet Canada's trajectory may now concentrate on an Alberta debut when that iGaming market surely goes live and on deals like the one announced with Playson this week, further reinforcing its online casino product offering, as the MIXI takeover narrative is now complete.
Through integration with Light & Wonder's aggregation platform, Playson's Hold and Win collection will now be part of PointsBet Canada's content portfolio. This contains well-known games like 4 Pots Riches: Hold and Win, Thunder Coins XXL: Hold and Win, and Coin Strike: Hold and Win.

2022 saw the launch of PointsBet Canada
In a market with 88 gaming websites and 50 licensed operators, PointsBet is well-established.
PointsBet management disclosed to shareholders revenue of AU$261.4 million (CA$237.6 million) in its 2025 fiscal year reporting (July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025), a 6% increase over FY2024.
PointsBet has been licensed and operating in Ontario since its market opening in April 2022, and the province's financial results have showed growth, especially on the online casino side.
The industry witnessed CA$8.14 billion in total cash wagers in August, up from CA$7.56 billion in July, according to iGaming Ontario. Revenue increased by 8% from CA$311 million in July to CA$335 million. Casino is dominant; its handle was CA$7.22 billion, up 7% from July and accounting for 89% of the market. In May of this year, the casino's previous peak was CA$6.95 billion.
Hold and Win Collection is now available to players
In terms of income, online casinos earned CA$267.8 million in August, a 6% rise from the previous month and an 80% market share, setting a new record for casino revenue.
Sports betting and iGaming revenue for PointsBet Canada rose 26% to AU$42.9 million (CA$39 million, a 26% rise from FY 2024).
Despite a negative VIP variance on slots during H1, the online casino net gain was AU$26 million (CA$23.6 million), a 39% increase from FY 2024. Despite customer-friendly NFL betting results in H1, sports betting net win increased by 11% to AU$17 million (CA$15.4 million).
